Tweens & Teens

At The Birth Center of Bloomington-Normal, we believe that gentle, respectful care during the tween and teen years lays the foundation for a lifetime of health and self-awareness. Our midwives are honored to walk alongside families during this important time of change, offering care that is not only clinical—but also compassionate and affirming.

Our tween and teen visits are designed to be:

  • Open and honest: We create a safe, judgment-free space where young people can ask questions and feel heard.

  • Educational: We provide age-appropriate information about bodies, cycles, and healthy choices.

  • Whole-person focused: We support emotional well-being, body literacy, nutrition, and self-care—not just symptoms.

Whether it’s a first well-body check, a discussion about menstrual health, or support through puberty changes, our care is always gentle, private, and empowering.

We welcome parents and caregivers to be part of the conversation, while also honoring the growing autonomy of each young person. Because healthy teens become healthy adults—and it all starts with compassionate, trustworthy care.
